Popular Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, was remanded at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Alagbon, Lagos, on Monday night. According to reports from Vanguard, Bobrisky was apprehended by officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) while attempting to flee Nigeria through the Seme Border in the early hours of Monday at around 1:30 a.m.
Authorities have indicated that Bobrisky may spend a second night in detention as detectives continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding his arrest. A formal statement from the FCID regarding his detention is expected soon.
A source from the FCID confirmed, “Yes, he was brought here last night by the NIS, where he spent the night. We are processing his remand today.” Kenneth Udo, a spokesperson for the NIS, also confirmed the arrest, stating that Bobrisky was intercepted at the Seme border and is currently considered “a person of interest” in matters of public concern.“
